Created in 2004 it is one of today's largest Usenet services with some of the best retention times, extraordinary download speeds and biggest number of newsgroups. A new entrant into the Mac optimization software market with the release of its OneSafe Mac Cleaner app, Avanquest Software is a France-based technology company and part of the Avanquest Group founded in 1984. Avanquest markets not only its own software titles but also third party products in categories such as utilities, multimedia, business, art and design, learning, and accessories. OneSafe PC Cleaner is one of the most well-known applications from the French company, and now OneSafe Mac Cleaner seeks to fill a gap in Avanquest's offerings: utility software for Mac users.

The Mac cleanup application delivers the basic functionalities you'd expect from such software, but depending on your budget and needs you can get even more features, such as an uninstaller, a duplicate finder, and cleaning of large and bulky files bigger than 50MB if you get a subscription, which start at $3 per month.

With the many thousands of apps in the Mac App Store you often end up spending quite a bit of time trying to pick the right app, only to remove it right away because the app is outdated or doesn't work as you expected. For some apps you may have even already paid money or committed to a subscription. Ukraine-based MacPaw, the developer behind the optimization app CleanMyMac, has launched Setapp, software as a service that aims to fill a gap by providing human curated Mac applications on demand. This service offers a variety of handpicked apps in various categories, and any of them are ready to use in just a few seconds, whenever you need to complete a task. And you can remove them with the same ease. This ‘Netflix of Mac apps' – filled with software tested and handpicked by developers based on a set of criteria – costs $9.99 per month, but you can test the service risk free thanks to the 30-day free trial period MacPaw offers.

Unless you store all your photos on an external hard drive or in the cloud, your Mac's disk space is likely to be consumed by all your images. And admit it, how often do you actually clean out the Photos library of similar photos or duplicates? They just add up, and the library continues to grow bigger and bigger, requiring even more and more time to clean up items that, in the end, just never ends up happening… unless Gemini jumps in. This duplicate finder software is developed by the Ukraine-based company MacPaw – which is known for its CleanMyMac and CleanMyPC apps, among others – and is able to locate any duplicate file or photo (even similar images) and remove them, reclaiming precious disk space on your Mac and creating a much cleaner Photos library. Gemini 2, the latest installment of this software, is available as a free download, but if you want to unlock all of its features then you'll need to purchase a lifetime license for as low as $8.99 if you buy the license pack for five Macs.

Nowadays there are two important aspects of a good photo book company: a simple and straightforward (hopefully mobile-friendly) editor and outstanding quality. Printerpix, a Florida-based photo company that started its business in 2011, easily passes both of these tests, and even manages to up the ante with some surprises of its own. Aside from being available in an astonishing 11 languages, the company sports plenty of photo customization options and designs with which you can easily create the photo book of your dreams in a jiffy. Furthermore, you can also build your books via mobile browsers in a simplified editor, choose between various sizes and covers, and enjoy modest prices with affordable shipping. And to top it all, Printerpix makes sure every customer leaves with a smile on their face by providing temporary coupons and discounts, a week-long return policy and, of course, quality photo products with which you can preserve your most cherished memories for a very long time.

One of the great things about using a Mac is that they're incredibly fast. Eventually though, Macs start to show signs of age and slow down drastically. Mac optimization software aims to extend your Mac's lifespan by freeing up space and gaining back some lost speed. MacBooster was developed by Chinese software company IObit, which boasts over 250 million downloads of its various system utilities. Now up to its eighth iteration, MacBooster scans your system for junk files that are taking up vital space and provides virus and malware protection. You can also search your Mac for old, large, and duplicated files – enabling you to free up space and increase your system's speed. You can get MacBooster 8 by signing up for a yearly subscription or by purchasing a lifetime license. Although there are no free trials available, every purchase comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee, so you're able to test out all the features.
