Both providers routinely advertise special offers on their services. These only last a short time but they’re often repeated. If you miss one, check back in a day or two for the next. At the time of writing, both were offering limited-time deals.
On price, VOIPo comes out as the winner. VOIPo is currently offering two years for $149 while ViaTalk’s deal is $189 for two years. Although VOIPo’s virtual numbers are slight more expensive than ViaTalk’s, its fax charges are cheaper and it offers 100 free international minutes in its basic plan.

Phone tech support is a standout feature for ViaTalk, with desks open seven days a week: 9 am to 10 pm ET on weekdays and 10 am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. VOIPo’s telephone help is unavailable at weekends and desks close at 8 pm ET. Both providers offer web-based support with email help and a knowledge base.
Phone app
Another notable feature of ViaTalk is its iPhone app. You can use VOIPo’s services over a cell phone too but only through third-party SIP clients.

Whether you choose ViaTalk or VOIPo depends on what’s most important to you. Is getting the lowest charges worth sacrificing weekend tech support? Do you want free shipping more than a native iPhone app? Either way, you’ll enjoy plenty of savings on your telephone costs compared to your current landline.
