I started with LiveWatch back in 2013. I had my account set up on auto-pay and never worried about my home security again…..until I got a notice from Brinks who had purchased LiveWatch saying my card could not be charged and needed to be upgraded. It got me thinking that I had triggered my alarm twice the week before (by accident) and never got a call from the monitoring service. So I did some investigating.
I have found out that I have been paying my bill every month but LiveWatch / Brinks has not been monitring my alarm since at least Dec. of 2017!!! That is as far back as they can go so who knows how long they have been taking my money and not providing service. I am looking at what legal action I should take.
Please do some research and see what kind of company you want to trust your family, home, and valuables to…..I have left my wife and kids at home with a false sense of security that an unmonitored security system provides and would still be doing so today if Brinks could run my credit card (which looks like they may be trying to do again today).
Sorry to hear about your experience, Charlie. That really is quite concerning. What explanation did LiveWatch give you for such an oversight? Did they at least over a refund or some other form of compensation?

Thereafter sales service is horrible. To sell their products they tell all lies.
I had a very bad experience with technical support and customer service.
The system has lot of problems. I pj reviews at many sites.
After reading my previous review, I received a call from the Company. They said they will fix all my problems.
They sent me free 4 pcs of repeaters and then scheduled a time to help in installing them.
Spent almost an hour on the phone. They also offered free two months of monitoring.
The system worked well for few days. Again received a call in last Saturday requesting me to put additional reviews.
Today again the system has started malfunctioning. The same problem again.
This system is HORRIBLE, I would not recommend anybody to buy this system. In fact I am planning to return the system.
It seems they are also putting in false reviews by putting different names.
I am a original buyer and I will never recommend this system to anybody.
I too have had problems with livewatch. Was sold an alarm system that was never designed to work in my situation. Sales person said it would work up to 200′, far from being the truth. Have had system for over a month and it’s still not working correctly. “Technical Dept” doesnt really exist. I have made at least 15 calls to that department, and with the exception of my 1st call, have gotten wrong or bad information every time. Currently waiting on phone call from supervisor, so I can get it working. At this point don’t know if I would purchase from them again. Jury’s still out. Hard to rate when system isn’t working.
