iSmartAlarm, established in 2013 and based in Silicon Valley, CA, uses the very latest in technological innovation to offer a complete home alarm security system that is completely controlled by your smartphone. The startup provides innovative, affordable home security that is intelligently designed and easy to use, and is on a mission to become the world-leader in smartphone-enabled home security. iSmartAlarm offers a home alarm system that is sleek and modern in design, which provides 24-hour surveillance protection controlled directly by you via your smartphone. Their packages have received endorsement from and are available to download from the official Apple Store, and in 2013 they received a CEO World Award for best new product. An iSmartAlarm package starts from just $199, and because they provide no monitoring services, there are no subscription charges and monthly fees to pay – all you pay is the price of your chosen package! What’s more, because all of their products are easily self-installed, there are no upfront installation costs either. iSmartAlarm also offers a 30-day return on any unused products, and all of their products are covered by a one-year warranty.

Security equipment

iSmartAlarm has two customizable packages to choose from: the Preferred Package, which is ideal for smaller homes and offices, and the Premium Package, which provides the ultimate in home security protection. Each package comes with the patented CubeOne, the plug-and-play “brain” of your system with built-in siren, which lets you monitor your home 24/7 from your smartphone. You also get two wireless portable door or window sensors, and a wireless motion sensor, each of which have a range of 30 feet. Two remote tags allow you to control, arm, and disarm the system remotely, and you also get a yard or window sign to deter prospective intruders.

The Premium Package also includes a wireless iCamera that provides real-time monitoring and one-touch picture notifications. The iCamera has a 350-degree point-and-tilt rotation, and is capable of wirelessly transmitting pictures to your smartphone both automatically and manually. Both packages can be augmented with further options including extra remote tags, yard and window signs, and wireless portable motion and contact sensors.

Installation

When you have decided which iSmartAlarm package is best for you, and have added any extra options you might require, you simply connect your newly purchased CubeOne base unit to the wall outlet and to your router. The system is designed to be ready-to-go as soon as you have plugged the base unit into the wall outlet and to your Internet router, but there are plenty of how-to demos on the iSmartAlarm website if you need any extra assistance with the process. The CubeOne unit supports and wirelessly connects with all of your other home security equipment including all of your motion sensors and cameras. You will then need to download the free iSmartAlarm app from either Google Play or the Apple App Store, which will give you the access to control your system any place, any time, from your smartphone.

Monitoring

iSmartAlarm does not provide any monitoring services, which means you are in complete control of your home alarm security system at all times. The easy-to-download iSmartAlarm app lets you monitor and control your system in real time 24/7, and you can also access your online account to check or change your settings at any time. The iSmartAlarm app lets you control and monitor your system directly via your smartphone, and it is fully compatible with cloud technology. It will automatically send you alerts – which you can customize to be sent by text, email, phone call or push notification – whenever any unauthorized activity is detected.

The app also allows you to monitor who is at home at any time, to check the status of your sensors, and to remotely arm and disarm the system. The iSmartAlarm app is free to download, and because you monitor the system yourself through the app, there will never be any monthly service charges to pay. The remote tags which come with each of the package options, and which allow you to control the system remotely, can also be used to set off the siren on your CubeOne base unit, even if your iSmartAlarm is not switched on. These remote tags are so easy to use that even very young children are able to operate them without needing a smartphone.

Pricing

The two iSmartAlarm packages are the Preferred Package, which costs just $199, and the Premium Package, which includes all the features of the Preferred Package as well as 24/7 video camera surveillance for just $349. As the packages are designed to be easily self-installed, there are no installation costs, and because iSmartAlarm doesn’t offer any monitoring services, there are no subscription or monthly fees to be paid. Even the app is free to download, which means that the price you see for the package you order is the only price you will ever have to pay! They also offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all of their products if they are returned unused in the original packaging, and all of their products come with a guaranteed one-year warranty.
