Sadly, that’s not always the case: most of the time photo books end up on an ordinary bookshelf, crammed between other books and sentenced to sink into oblivion.

But it doesn’t have to be that way! In fact, only a few tricks are enough for the photo book to take its rightful place as the gem of the room that makes everyone’s head turn.

Tucking the photo book away to get lost on a bookshelf is one of the worst things that could happen to something that’s supposed to be shared and seen on a regular basis. But what if the book has such a design that it begs to be seen by others? What if you are so proud of your creation that you want to show it to your friends and family all the time? And what if the book is simply too large or possesses a cover that could get damaged if stored the regular way?

This is why it’s best to apply the simplest method of storing and displaying a photo book: pulling it out from the bookshelf and placing it in front of the other books. The effect won’t be as strong this way, but it would at least still be capable of directing anyone’s attention to the book.

Simply displaying the photo book on the bookshelf can be sufficient, but if we’re honest it’s far from enough. You spent a significant amount of time building the photo book, shaping it into something special, so it’s only fitting that the book’s specialness is emphasized in some way – like making it the centerpiece of a table or hanging it on a wall.

Standing it up

However, aside from being widely available – for instance at online stores like Amazon – these easels are relatively cheap, can be placed virtually anywhere and are multifunctional since they are capable of holding everything from plates and canvases to photo holders.

But one extra thing to consider is that putting the photo book on an easel allows you to either display it closed or open on particular pages. Closing the book ensures that pages won’t get damaged, but keeping it displayed open it is the perfect opportunity to showcase your photos to anyone who might stumble across your creation.
