  1. The biggest part of why I chose the Bark phone was the GPS tracking. That most important feature is unreliable. Sometimes it works fine. Sometimes position is way off. Sometimes it just stops working and the phone needs to be rebooted, often. The one thing I need the phone to do it does not do consistently. So, this product does NOT meet my expectations. I have read ALL the bark help articles and implemented all the instructed settings. The phone behaves the same way – unreliable. I would mention this phone in a conversation with other parents as a possible option with the caveats, but I would not recommend it. Given the above issues, I am looking into other options.

    RIP OFF ALERT! I got the Bark phone for my boys. At best, the phones had a ton of problems and never worked quite right. They were virtually impossible to set up and only got worse from there. Then, to make matters worse, my oldest son accidently broke his phone. To replace it would have cost $199. I opted not to replace it and informed the company. Without my prior knowledge or consent, I was blindsided with a $199 charge from my bank account for some “damage fee”. I guess they will take your money anyway they can. I did not even get a replacement phone…just got charged the replacement phone price for nothing in return. Bark now refuses to refund my money they basically stole from me. Beware…Bark takes advantage of parents by providing a product that barely functions and banks on the fact that these are kids, and the phones are likely to get damaged at some point. I strongly urge against getting a Bark phone.

Were you able to get a refund for the ‘damage fee’? On the company’s website, it clearly states that the $199 charge is to pay for a brand new replacement phone of the latest model. So, it’s not right that you’ve paid the fee and haven’t had a replacement in return.
