Why should you trust us?

The Best Reviews team tests all products first-hand and relies on first-hand research. We've been reviewing products and services since 2012 and only publish human-created content.

Outsourcely is an upbeat newcomer to the freelance world, having already gathered more than 200,000 users from 180 countries. The company is well-aware of its competition, thus it aims to be different from other, similar sites by being more than just a platform where clients and freelancers meet. Hence why Outsourcely provides a deep and innovative profile system, through which remote workers can showcase their unique talents, while employers can find the best workers in a pleasantly easy manner. Instead of forcing strict rules on everyone, the service gives room for the two parties to agree on the terms of the gig through various communication channels, like live messenger, emails and calls. Remote workers are going to love the fact that they can keep all their earnings, while clients can unlock extra perks by simply upgrading their membership status.

Features

Outsourcely’s main mission is to foster each agreement between clients and their remote employees into long-term relationships, thus providing freelancers a chance to find a long-term clients with recurring jobs and regular income. To ensure this the site is open for all sorts of assignments that can be outsourced: from design, coding and writing to administrative duties, software engineering and business services – you’ll definitely find a field that matches your expertise.

Outsourcely job categories

Outsourcely also emphasizes that unless it’s a clear case of infiltration by competition they don’t interfere much with your business. In fact, they leave it up to freelancers and clients to agree on the terms and length of the gig. Even better, they don’t force their own payment service or any added service fee on users, so they can decide the payment method on their own.

Freelancers

Remote workers and freelancers have a few reasons to potentially fall in love with Outsourcely. First of all, the site doesn’t charge any extra service fee on the freelancer’s earnings, thus the full payment can be kept. Learning the ropes won’t demand too much energy either: the profile page organizes your work experience, background and skills into a comprehensive resume, so clients won’t find it difficult to assess your capabilities.

Outsourcely registration process

Don’t forget to upload testimonials or proof of your experience, though, otherwise the system won’t give you the “Verified” seal of approval. It’s also possible to set different levels to each individual skill, allowing you to display your proficiency. Freelancers are allowed to state their expected minimum wage in an hourly or monthly fashion, but bear in mind that the payment always depends on the final agreement between you and the employer. Workers receive constant notifications about freshly submitted work posts, but for an additional fee they can highlight themselves, appearing on top of individual search lists.

Employers

In case you have a job at hand just begging to be outsourced, there are two options to get it done: you can either post a public job request and screen the applicants yourself, or look for your employee on your own. The site has a well-refined search engine with all key details searchable, such as the necessary skills and the level of them, work availability, location, internet speed etc. Outsourcely doesn’t charge an exact fee on paying your employees, but it’s worth mentioning that employers need to subscribe for premium membership in order to effectively conduct business on the site. Luckily there is a trial version, but unless you upgrade, using the site’s communication features and getting in touch with the freelancers is disabled.

Usability

The overall design of Outsourcely is stylishly minimalistic, making the site very convenient to use. Most of the customization options are self-explanatory, and the system actively supports users during registration. The site also prides itself in its wide array of communication methods: clients and employees may initiate a live call, chat, send private messages or even start a recorded video session.

Outsourcely mobile application

Unfortunately, some features were sacrificed on the altar of convenient usability – and this is particularly manifested in the total lack of smartphone support. Missing a downloadable version of the communication interface for desktop computers and mobiles is one thing, but the site doesn’t even feature a mobile friendly-version. In other words, managing your freelance career while on the go is out of question. A secure payment system and time tracking software are also absent from Outsourcely. Granted, the service claims that these are in favor of your freedom, as freelancers get their payments wired directly to their preferred account. But without strict supervision regarding finances (such as putting the money in an escrow), getting paid for the job or being able to start a dispute in case of the former are not secured at all.

Pricing

Not only Outsourcely has removed service fees for clients, but there are absolutely no membership fees or other charges on the side of remote workers either. However, you can still decide to opt for the highlighted feature, which costs $10 per month quarterly or $15 per month monthly. The no service fee policy is extended to employers as well, but in order to access all relevant features, such as communicating with freelancers you are required to choose a premium subscription.

There are three packages available for clients either on a quarterly or annual basis; however, the latter provides a discounted monthly fee too. Despite the Individual membership being the most cost-effective, charging $9.50 per month with an annual contract, you can enjoy only part of Outsourcely’s benefits. The Small Business plan is a well-rounded option in terms of content and it only costs $24.50 per month annually. However, it is the Professional package that is the most content-rich choice, albeit it comes at a higher price: you need to pay $49.50 per month on the annual basis.

Customer Service

The customer support isn’t the strongest point of Outsourcely. Even though the site adequately explains the main features and the benefits of its subscription plans, the FAQ section is ridiculously short. If you want to contact the support team your only way of doing so is by submitting an email; however, like mentioned before, Small Business and Professional members gain access to get in touch with the staff via live chat or phone. All in all, the site’s support options are satisfactory, but reserving the live chat contact option to paying members is a miss.

Bottom Line

Outsourcely belongs to a rare category of freelance services that, despite managing to propose an attractive offer for both freelancers and clients, tends to favor workers. We welcome this community-friendly approach, but we hope Outsourcely manages to patch in some of the issues, such as the lack of a mobile-friendly website and a proper escrow payment system. However, everything else is like finding a hidden treasure. Registration is free for everyone, but employers can also enjoy a free trial before upgrading to one of the three memberships. The gig searching is surprisingly easy and competent, while freelancer profiles are customizable in many ways to display your talents. And if we take into consideration the on-site communication options and the adequate customer service it becomes obvious why Outsourcely is definitely recommended for freelancers.
