Still, the setup is effortless. Users create their accounts, providing basic information, before choosing one of two plans and entering their payment info. For advanced features like identity restoration, insurance, and lost wallet services, the platform requires identity verification with TransUnion and documents like a driver’s license, passport, or Social Security number.

Once inside the OmniWatch account, the dashboard displays your identity threat score – a rating from one to ten based on your existing level of exposed data. This is also where you can find the latest information on data breaches and your real-time credit score.

As a young player in the industry, OmniWatch mainly focuses on providing three types of service: dark web monitoring, credit monitoring and locking, and identity theft insurance and restoration.

Unfortunately, OmniWatch’s scope of identity monitoring stops at the dark web. Unlike other companies, it doesn’t cover crucial areas like financial activity, USPS monitoring, or social media accounts. On the bright side, its identity restoration services are as comprehensive as those of its competitors.

OmniWatch’s Credit Lock+ can freeze your TransUnion credit file, stopping anyone from opening a new account in your name. The service also monitors Equifax and Experian accounts to prevent unauthorized credit access. Plus, every 90 days, subscribers of OmniWatch’s Premium plan can receive a comprehensive credit report from all three bureaus, displayed side by side for easy comparison.

We weren’t too pleased with OmniWatch’s privacy policy, which reveals that the company may share personal information for targeted advertising. Although opt-out forms are provided, it’s concerning that an identity theft protection company would allow data sharing for such purposes.

Unfortunately, the service does not offer focused care for special customers like children, nor does it come with the option to add a new user to plans, so it might not be the best choice if you’re seeking family-wide protection.

The Basic plan costs only $9.99 per month and introduces users to essential protection features such as dark web monitoring, TransUnion credit reports, and access to 24/7 U.S.-based identity restoration agents.

However, customers looking to take advantage of everything OmniWatch has to offer should turn to the Premium plan. For $14.99 per month, subscribers unlock credit monitoring and dedicated reports from all three bureaus, plus an extra $25,000 in ransomware protection.

Both plans only support one user, which may put off some since many customers seeking an identity protection service seek solutions offering family-wide advantages and discounted packages.

OmniWatch supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and PayPal, and unfortunately, it doesn’t provide refunds.

However, these readable resources are too general and lack comprehensive information about the service’s particularities. The same goes for the company’s social media, as its Facebook and X accounts don’t shine much light on the service.
