The cameras have good quality and clarity. However, if you want to monitor your house /property using your phone NOT connected to your wifi….FORGET IT!!!! I was too stupid to realize that the reason I could not view the cameras while away from home was that I was off MY wifi. I thought the EXPERTS would have told me that!.These cameras and software will not allow the cameras to be viewed while away from home and not connected to home wifi.
I have spent hours and hours with tech support with no resolution.
Then I spent more hours and hours with my router tech support . they exhausted all avenues of port openings etc. NO SOLUTION!
FLIR NVR DNR308 is JUNK.
They no longer have a customer support office…………..no tech support, they refer you to the company that sold the system to you.
Products worked as they said it would,easy to install,easy to make work,we bought an 8 camera system.All was good until 3 days after the warranty was up,first one,then 2 weeks later a 2nd camera stopped working.Within the next 2 weeks 4 had stopped working,tried getting hold of these people,what a joke.Once you have paid for your system you are on your own.Their after sales service sucks big time,hugely disappointed as we thought for once we d be looked after,but all it was was sales talk.Not sure if they have a built in redundancy or it if was just co-incidence.It is impossible to get to speak to anyone about our problem.At least you will have a nice working system until just shortly after the warranty expires.Just our experience.
