Facebook is one of those things that nowadays needs no introduction as everyone knows what it is and what’s its purpose to this world. The Palestinians deny this version and claim that online incitation has nothing to do with the attacks and that they were due to almost half a century of military occupation. Regardless of who’s right, Israel has its own proper legislation that would force not only Facebook but every other social media network to permanently remove all content that could be considered as an incitement to terrorism in the making.
Allegedly Facebook kept its word and proceeded to such blockings although the social network came to public to say “We’re very sorry about this mistake” and blame such event as a flaw within its reporting system as it stated that “our team processes millions of reports each week, and we sometimes get things wrong”. Nevertheless, the fact is the Palestinian editor’s’ account blocks did actually happen.
