Hello! I’m Warren, manager at OverPlay.net.

What sets OverPlay apart from other VPN service providers?

We believe innovation sets businesses apart from others, regardless of the industry. As such, we strive always to uniquely improve upon VPN technologies.

Doesn’t offering both SmartDNS and VPN services hold risks for a lower security level?

SmartDNS does not perform encryption the way a VPN connection does, so we make an effort to educate our customers on the differences and specific uses of the two services.

Would you recommend using SmartDNS on a public Wi-Fi connection?

There will always be security concerns when using a public Wi-Fi connection, but yes, using SmartDNS would be just as secure (if not more so) than using other DNS servers such as Google’s public DNS or OpenDNS.

What exactly does your partnership with FlashRouters imply?

Changing a router’s firmware and configuring network settings on a home LAN is not for everyone. Thanks to FlashRouter’s expertise, customers can be comfortable knowing they’ll have all the assistance they need to get connected, no matter how complex their home network is.

Will OverPlay’s SmartDNS work well through a flashed router?

Setting up SmartDNS on a flashed router is our preferred method, since doing so will automatically enable SmartDNS for every device on your network.

Can you tell us more about your “A to B” servers?

The idea behind the “A to B” servers is to have a server physically located in country “A”, but with an IP address from country “B.” This can often result in much better bandwidth than would otherwise be possible.
