GoDaddy Bookkeeping is the online accounting software provided by hosting and domain expert GoDaddy. As the company is expanding its suite of products and services to cater to various needs of small businesses, GoDaddy acquired Outright and integrated the accounting solution in its offerings. It is a relatively easy program to operate and does not require you to have previous accounting knowledge. It also does not require manual data entry and is not tedious to use. The software puts a strong emphasis on sales and expense tracking, maintaining an updated profit and loss account, calculating taxes as per your transactions, sending invoices and running your accounts from any place at any time using your mobile phone. There are three different pricing plans with respective prices and features that you can choose from. Although there is not free trial, GoDaddy has a money back guarantee in place. The firm’s customer care staff is available 24/7 on phone, email and live chat.

GoDaddy wants to free you from keeping spreadsheets, manually entering data and mountains of receipts. Their straightforward approach to accounting organizes all your financial transactions in one portal, provides accurate and updated snapshots of your business, spontaneously imports and classifies all your business data and makes your business ready for all tax-related processes. With the software, all your business accounts will be collated and the pertinent income and expense reports generated. Further, you are not required to download, install or update any software. You can also access your data from any computer or internet-enabled phone, with the information you get being updated real-time.

Creating invoices in GoDaddy BookkeepingGoDaddy allows you to create, send and follow-up invoices. You will be able to track the time it takes to convert an invoice and dispatch it to your clients. If any of the invoices in the system has been viewed or a client has paid, you will be updated. Moreover, you can create automatic reminders and receive payments online making it easier to get paid without having to bother your clients. Since GoDaddy organizes all you expenses and sales in a single platform, you can easily tell the status of your business; know your most loyal clients and understand expenditure trends and concomitant sales.

Tax preparation

The process of preparing your taxes is covered by GoDaddy Bookkeeping. Schedule-C tax lines, as prescribed by IRS are used to classify data. This means that the software computes and records your taxes as it works on your transactions. It easily lets you know the amount of money you owe in taxes for the year as well as your sales at any one time of the year. GoDaddy also enables you to understand you profit and loss status.

With GoDaddy, your money is safe because the software uses 256-bit data encryption security, similar to the one used in many U.S. banks. The company ensures its servers are protected through biometric scanning and security personnel. As one of the world’s largest hosting providers, GoDaddy can rely on its many years of experience in data security for its cloud accounting software as well.

GoDaddy is accounting software for the contemporary age considering its mobile functionality. If you are the modern manager or business owner who travels often and needs to keep track of your business and related transactions, this software will come in handy. There’s a GoDaddy Bookkeeping application for both Android and iOS devices that will put you in full control over your entire account and all features available. You can access profit and losses reports for a quick scope on the overall financials of your business. But most of the time you’ll enjoy using the quick and easy expense entrance functionalities and the invoicing section to create invoices on the go as you complete work. Tracking your time, making an invoice and processing the payment works like a breeze with the software.

The app is in sync with your GoDaddy account to ensure that you never miss any transactions and events in your company. Even without an app for your mobile device you can log into your accounts through the mobile browser version of cloud software.

Integrations and extra services

Unfortunately, GoDaddy doesn’t provide many integrations with other software and services. It does allow you and your buyers to transact business through eBay, Etsy, Amazon, PayPal, bank and credit cards using Dwolla, Stripe and PayPal Here. GoDaddy Bookkeeping already offers time tracking, expense management, invoicing tools and payment processing, so it holds all of the functionalities you need to run the financials of your small business. If you’re already used to other solutions to manage either of these things you will of course have to try for yourself if GoDaddy’s alternative works well for you.

Payment providers compatible with GoDaddy BookkeepingWhat the software lacks for instance is an inventory management tool, which immediately makes that this isn’t a solution for you if you’re a retailer, wholesaler or other business that holds inventory. GoDaddy Bookkeeping also doesn’t include any payroll features, which is a major downside if you have a team of three or more people in your staff.

Pricing

GoDaddy accounting software is available in three packages: Starter, Essentials and Premium. Each option comes with a specific price and features. There is no free trial available, but GoDaddy Bookkeeping does fall under the company’s standard 45-day money back guarantee that offers a risk-free way to try the software.

The Starter plan costs a mere $3.99 per month on annual billing since GoDaddy offers a 20% discount on this subscription. It allows you to create and track invoices, accept debit cards, PayPal, credit cards and eChecks. In addition, you can receive payment through a variety of gadgets – tablets, mobile phones and laptops. The most interesting option is the Essentials plan that has all the features of the Starter plan and helps you bill expenses back to clients and import expenses from your different financial accounts. It’s priced at $8.34 per month with annual payments, offering you 16% in savings compared to month-to-month subscriptions. The Premium plan, on the other hand, has all the characteristics of the Starter and Essentials packages and is priced at $19.99 per month. In addition, this plan will help you to send recurring invoices to clients, to bill them regularly and to track billable and non-billable time.

You can get the help you need at any time by calling the firm’s customer care staff 24/7. You can ask for assistance in both English and Spanish, and the website has telephone contacts for staff in many cities across the globe. You will also find a live chat button where you can type your questions and get quick responses. In case of detailed questions, you can send an email to customer care. GoDaddy also has a detailed FAQs section where many of your questions can be answered so that you refer only complex ones to customer care. In addition, GoDaddy has a presence on social media, specifically Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

Bottom line

GoDaddy Bookkeeping shines in its sales automation and expense tracking with smart ways of getting paid through PayPal, credit cards, Amazon, eBay and others. Creating and sending invoices and having your customers pay them through your preferred online payment methods is straightforward and will help you make a professional impression with your customers while you have full control and a clear scope over your sales. You can easily access your GoDaddy account and all of your reports and features wherever and whenever you go through the mobile apps for Android and iOS devices. GoDaddy Bookkeeping lacks third-party app integration and support, this is however compensated by the presence of quality expense tracking, time tracking, invoicing and payment processing features in the software itself. What it does lack is a payroll and inventory management tool or support for any third-party apps to manage this. GoDaddy Bookkeeping is online accounting software worth considering for small business owners selling services who currently aren’t relying on any cloud solutions to manage the finance side of their business yet.

I’ve used godaddy bookkeeping for almost 5 years , originally through the ebay app. It had great features and was easy to use in my opinion., But, godaddy has changed log in, so I now need to log in directly, not through ebay as an app.. and I just tried to log on, it recognized my user name, but says I don’t have an account! I’ve called support and they can’t find me in their system!! they’re like, sorry bye.. I have all my 2019 tax info and a years worth of sales and expenses,, so,, the bookkeeping was good, but beware of the support.
