Attention all superhero fans: Iron Fist is coming to your screens! This new series is being developed for Netflix by television writer Scott Buck (the same name behind Six Feet Under, Rome, Dexter, Everybody Loves Raymond, among others), based on the character from Marvel’s Comics. The series is scheduled for release on March 17th, 2017 worldwide. However, in countries that don’t have a rich Netflix library, the series probably won’t be immediately accessible. Fortunately, with the simple use of a VPN you can have Iron Fist busting in your home with ease.
Iron Fist’s comics first appeared in May 1974 with Danny Rand as a martial arts expert who is also the wielder of the mystical force named the Iron Fist, which he can summon and control. During his adventures, he often teamed up with Luke Cage (the previous show in the series, already available on Netflix) under the name Power Man and Iron Fist.
“Danny Rand returns to New York City, after being missing for fifteen years, to reclaim his family company. However, when a threat emerges, Rand must choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist”. The premise for the series is given and if you’re a superhero fan or followed the comics, you know the story will further build the already impressive Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not to mention, this will be the fourth show that will end up leading to The Defenders mini-series that will feature all the previous heroes (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist) airing in late 2017.
Iron Fist, the series, will feature Finn Jones (known for roles in Game of Thrones, Sleeping Beauty, Doctors, etc.), Jessica Henwick (also from Game of Thrones and Stars Wars: The Force Awakens among others) and Jessica Stroup (True Blood, Prom Night, Ted,…) as the main characters.
As mentioned above, the show will be hitting the digital shelves of Netflix on March 17th 2017 and if you don’t want to miss a thing you may as well get a U.S. subscription. Furthermore, if you live outside the U.S. you may as well invest in a VPN too. In fact, VPNs are one of Netflix’s best friends for users, but no so much for the streaming service that actively tries to block them. Nonetheless, getting one is particularly important for circumventing geo-blocks or, in this case, accessing the most complete library in the world. Given that you’ve got a Netflix USA subscription, all you need is a VPN that has servers placed in Uncle Sam’s territory, an easy find really. Just connect to it and you’ll be given an American IP address, being able to cross Netflix’s borders and watch Iron Fist as soon as it debuts.
