Why you can trust us

The Best Reviews team researches and tests all products first-hand. We've been reviewing products and services since 2012 and are proud to only publish human-created content.

Unblock All is a smart DNS provider hailing from Belize. The company was founded in 2016, so you’ll barely find a player on the field fresher than them. They compensate the lack of experience with some very convenient features and superb customer service. You are not only able to gain easy access to 200 content providers, but also protect yourself from malicious hacking attempts and personality thieves by connecting to the VPN servers. You can occupy servers in the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Australia. Even better, Unblock All is compatible with almost all hardware; whether it is a desktop computer, smartphone, game console, smart TV or router. Although there are no outstanding features, they offer you a 7-day free trial with an unrestricted account. And the premium subscription has three versatile packages, all for a very reasonable price as low as $3.55 per month.

Up to 21% discount on Unblock All
Unblock All lets you have a chance at getting their service for $3.55 instead of the $4.30 charge each month. Opt for the annually billed Guru plan of $42.60 paid upfront rather than the month-to-month Basic plan that doesn't provide any savings. Your order is eligible for a refund within 30 days.

Simplicity and user friendliness are the key words Unblock All follows with its service. Users can get a free trial after a brief registration, and starting your smart DNS session is quite easy. There are no clients that would do the heavy lifting for you, but there is no need for it anyway. All of the represented devices come with a separate step-by-step guide that explains you how to set up the connection. They even provide you helpful hints and advices. Unblock All uses IPv4 and has two network addresses that are required for the smart DNS proxy. After finishing the dirty work in your network settings, verification is needed on the homepage. Sometimes an IP update is due, but the system informs you about that. It’s important to know that the smart DNS connection stops working every time your IP changes. In case you have multiple devices, you can use the same account for all of them, although only one device can use it simultaneously. Naturally, you need to submit all your devices on your account before operating them.

Channels and streaming services

Unblock All supports a surprisingly large pool of unlockable websites. They claim that the number of sites you can access with their service is above 200. This is nice and fair, however they don’t specify which sites are being unblocked by them. Regionally locked sites like Netflix, CNN or even Facebook are the main suspects, but a brief presentation, or an actual list of supported sites, would be more than useful. Without these, you must resort to trial and error. Luckily, you won’t miss out on anything as Unblock All provides an initial trial account, which is perfect for experimenting with the features.

Smart DNS network

Sadly, your customization options are somewhat limited when it comes to connections. You only have a primary and secondary address, and both of them must be entered to make the smart DNS connection fully work. The site keeps you in shadows about actual details, though. You aren’t informed about the available servers, their overall quality or speed. The only fact you know is that you can mask your location to disguise yourself as a citizen from the USA, Canada, Great Britain or Australia. These might be fitting for international streaming sites, like Netflix or Hulu, but a little bit of variety would have been nice.

VPN service

Smart DNS and VPN are a great combination, since they are based on the same tunneling technology. And while the former ensures fast and uninterrupted streaming, the latter oversees your defenses, protecting you from identity theft or personal information leaking. Unblock All incorporated a VPN into its service and it’s complementary, so you don’t need to pay an extra to use it. Similarly to the smart DNS, the VPN also lacks a downloadable client, and you need to change your network setting to make it work. This means that you only get to enjoy the PPTP protocol, as it comes standard for most devices.

Privacy protection

The company informs everyone in their privacy policy page that they “may collect personally identifiable information” from users. They don’t specify what kind of information is being collected, just vaguely mentioning that through ordering forms for services and other voluntarily provided information during registration, are part of this. They also admit to use cookies to keep track on how people use their service. This is quite alarming, even if they promise not sharing it with third parties and other companies. Unblock All reasons they need to hold on such information to avoid giving a tool into the hand of hackers, gamblers and cheaters. They state upfront that any illegal behavior will be punished with a terminated account.

As for their smart DNS protection, Unblock All is very cryptic about the available protocols. We can only confirm the presence of the PPTP protocol, which is used by the VPN servers.

OS, device support

The wide array of supported hardware is the main selling point for Unblock All. The sheer number of compatible devices is simply astonishing. First, you have a dependable list of desktop computers, including all flavors of Windows, Mac, and even Linux Ubuntu. As for tablets and smartphones, Kindle Fire, Windows Phone, Android, iPhone, iPad and iPod are supported. For desktops and smartphones, the added service of VPN is also available. Gamers may be relieved upon glancing at the list of game consoles, since Unblock All is compatible with Xbox 360-One, PlayStation 3-4 (plus Vita) and Nintendo Wii/Wii U. The media player and Blu-ray player section is just as extensive; you’ll find WD TV, Chromecast, Apple TV, Samsung Blu-ray and Panasonic Blu-ray, among others. The list isn’t nearly finished, because here come the routers: Asus, DD-WRT, Cisco, Tomato, Netgear, Siemens, just to mention a few. All of this supported hardware comes with a thorough setup guide. In case you cannot find your router in the list, the site provides a generic tutorial.

Pricing

Unblock All is very generous in terms of pricing. First of all, they welcome you with a one-week trial period, which is more than enough to get a taste of their service. This free account doesn’t hold back any options from you, so feel free to give it your all. After the trial has expired, you are offered the chance to become a subscribed member. Premium membership doesn’t hold any sort of extra value beside the steady service, extended list of locations or unlimited bandwidth. Unblock All created three separate plans, although they differ only in their price and length. The monthly plan charges you $4.30 with each renewal, and choosing a longer plan comes with a discount on the price. The semi-annual plan has a fee of $3.72 per month ($22.30 in total), while the annual plan comes at $3.55 per month, which adds up to $42.60 per year.

Be aware that Unblock All is very picky when it comes to payment methods, only accepting Visa and MasterCard as means to finalize the deal. But to sweeten your soul even more, you can enjoy a 30-day money back guarantee. During this time, you can request to have your money paid back if unsatisfied.

Customer service

Unblock All operates constant customer support to aid any user who is experiencing technical difficulties. The main method of communication is email, as the live chat is currently a missing option. They make a promise to answer any question or message in a 6-hour interval, no matter when you send your email. There is also an extensive help center, with different topics. The FAQ is part of it, but you also find advices on how to sign up for U.S. services while living outside of the country, how to remove your smart DNS etc. All in all, we can call their site more than informative, and they deserve a pat on the back for it.

Bottom line

We finished our investigation of Unblock All with mixed feeling. At first, we were blown away by the generous trial period, low prices and money back guarantee. This was coupled with the extensive device support, and always ready customer support. However, our enthusiasm was quickly drained as we proceeded towards the technical details. Unblock All is very cryptic about their features. For example, they don’t specify the available protocols, or the supported channels. They also collect some of your personal information. Your only option is to set the smart DNS connection manually, with the help of a guide. There is also a VPN, but the site barely comments on it. All in all, we won’t discourage anyone from giving Unblock All a shot, but make sure you test it well enough before committing yourself.Unblock All main page
