RegCure Pro and PC Health Advisor are two registry cleaners that were developed by Canadian-based ParetoLogic, thus pricing, support and some features are eerily similar between these two brothers. Nevertheless, don’t think that RegCure Pro and PC Health Advisor are one and the same program with a different name, as they both have their respective unique features. With RegCure Pro you can enjoy faster speeds and a smoother experience by scanning your device, analyzing and defragmenting your disk and aiming at exterminating spyware and malware items that are eating your computer from the inside. Furthermore, not too many registry cleaners can tell that they have the power behind every Windows OS thanks to a fruitful partnership with Microsoft. The best of all is that you can testdrive all the benefits of RegCure Pro for 15 whole days without paying a single nickel.

RegCure Pro offline

After ReCure Pro’s parent company, ParetoLogic, got involved in a U.S. class action lawsuit in 2020, the software ceased to exist. The website was also taken down, even though the company is still registered as an active corporation.

Like we mentioned before, RegCure Pro was developed by the same company behind PC Health Advisor, thus the similarities are beyond noticeable. Nonetheless, this program has a couple of features that are not present in the other software, such as the Browser Helper Option (BHO) Manager. In a nutshell, this feature works as a browser plugin manager that lets you turn on and off plugins you have installed to improve your browser’s speed. Another unique feature is the always handy maintenance tab with a scheduler where you can set up auto-scans for faulty registry, malware, systems issues, etc. on a daily or monthly basis.

Just like PC Health Advisor, RegCure Pro is fully customizable. Not only can you choose what to scan but you also have the option to fix all issues at once or choose what you want to have deleted. The process manager is also a familiar feature that shows the CPU usage and how many processes are active at the time. Interestingly, RegCure Pro’s restore tab detects old restore points created by PC Health Advisor and another registry cleaner we tried before, deeming both of them errors.

Scanning

It is a well-known fact that a deep analysis of your computer is always a somewhat tedious process regarding the time it usually requires. But RegCure Pro’s performance was like a true torture for both man and machine: not only it took the program an arduous 15 minutes to find 1,826 issues, but it also hindered us from using the computer properly as CPU usage skyrocketed. Regardless of this unacceptable performance, RegCure Pro still managed to scan everything, finding over 3.5 GB of pure junk, including corrupt DLLs, missing items and so on. Just for curiosity we ran a second test, this time disabling the scan for junk files. With that out of the way, the software found only 90 potentially harmful items in less than 5 minutes. Therefore, if you don’t want to kill your computer even before you can start the actual repairing process, we recommend you to not allow the scanner to look for junk files.

After the tough ride we experienced during scanning we were a bit skeptical regarding the repair features of RegCure Pro. Learning from our previous mistakes, we chose to fix only the 90 issues of the second run. Thankfully, the results were very satisfactory: it took RegCure Pro less than 10 seconds to repair all 90 issues, which immediately made the 15 minutes required to find all issues even more ridiculous. Aside from the speed of the repairs we also praise RegCure Pro for allowing us to check the log for a more detailed view of the threats, and for fixing only those files the user selects. Restore points are also available before you start the repairs, which are especially handy if your repairing actions would run into an otherwise irreversible problem.

Pricing

If you read our review of PC Health Advisor, you already know everything regarding the prices of ParetoLogic’s registry cleaning solutions. With this being said, RegCure Pro’s pricing policy allows you to use your license on one, three or five computers for a period of 6, 12 or even up to 24 months. However, the more computers you want protection on and/or the longer you want that protection to last, the bigger your discount will be: in other words, a two-year subscription with a license for 5 computers is $199.97 in total, or $8.33 per month for all PCs (approximately $1.66 per month per device). Just for comparison, a 6-month subscription for one computer is $24.97, or $2.08 per month, meaning that the longest and fullest subscription equals a 60% discount, while a three-computer subscription for one year for $134.97 gives you a 55% price discount. However, regardless of the chosen subscription, you are entitled to try RegCure Pro for free for 15 days (without other limitations) or enjoy a 30-day money back guarantee.

As for the payment methods, which are protected by 128-bit SSL encryption; you can pay by almost all types of credit cards and PayPal.

Customer service

Not surprisingly, ParetoLogic provides the same customer service for RegCure Pro and PC Health Advisor users, starting with the identical contact forms. Aside from that, you can also contact the Canadian company via email or telephone, with the latter being fully toll-free in North America. You have the option to leave a question on the company’s regularly updated Facebook or Twitter pages where they are guaranteed to be answered within less than 24 hours. On top of this all, you also have an FAQ page, which is perfect for answering the most tech-savvy questions with detailed answers.

Bottom line

Even though RegCure Pro can be considered a decent registry cleaner, it is virtually impossible not to compare it to its twin brother (and possible rival), PC Health Advisor. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if you start wondering why ParetoLogic had to develop two products when they both allow scanning and fixing all threats found, defragmenting your disks and customizing your client to your liking. But despite providing tediously long scans, RegCure Pro exists for very good reasons. Such reason is the Browser Helper Options feature which, like the other functions present in the software, is useful and very easy to use. RegCure Pro also provides restore points so you can not only undo potentially harmful tasks, but remove those created by other registry cleaning tools as well. And if we take into consideration the extremely generous 15-day free trial of the full version without any features blocked and the 30-day money back guarantee, RegCure Pro proved once and for all that it’s worth a chance.

  1. More trouble not less. After finally getting rid of the program i too am nagged again and again with a pop up that has caused data loss. I do NOT recommend this. I contacted their support and was told buy it again and then cancel and uninstall! Are you kidding me?! Avoid wasting time and money and a never ending abusive unwanted pop up by not buying in the first place!

Hello David, and thank you for your comment. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with RegCure Pro. We recommend installing a different registry cleaner that can completely uninstall pieces of software, including annoying pop-ups that may have been left on your computer. We hope you can fix this issue soon. Have a nice day!

  2. I completely regret ever installing this software and of course paying for it; in my experience it caused more problems. It takes forever to load and to cancel unwanted scans, the first time you install it you don’t have an opportunity to not let it ‘clean’ wanted files. Also after the first scan the restore files section was empty. After I turned off the function to delete stuff it still did, I’m guessing because what it did delete was under a different category.

First time I ran this it complete erased all my configuration files for running Pro/Engineer, also after running my internet connectivity had issues.

Subsequent scans continued to delete things I did not want touched. For example, I’m running Windows 7 my applications on the taskbar have numerous files pinned to them, all those were removed.

I decided to give this program one more shot on a clean install, since I did pay for it. After a hard drive format and clean install of Win7, I installed any missing drivers, Chrome and then RegCure Pro. The first scan prompted over 50 registry problems, I found this odd but thought “well Windows is a Microsoft product”. After a reboot I immediately started having problems, increased log on time and internet connectivity issues.

In my opinion the software includes items in its scan purely to boost the numbers of issues and thereby justifying its need to be on your computer and increasing user satisfaction.

I wish shomeone could give advise on how to get this deleted. I also made sure they don’t auto bill me for 6 more months !
