Tricky garbage! I bought it because it offered my also my small country - I need access to some pages which are vorbidden from abroad. And guess what - after my payment my country dissapeared! I complained, I wanted my money back, but they just laughed off me. No it is totally useless for me. For 3 years... I'm not recommending!!!
To me they cancel my subscripion after I complained to paypal for intermittent server service but they kept the $29.99 ,so for me is not a good company.
The program is completely BOGUS. If you click the CHECK IP INFO, of course, it shows up on THEIR website as your address being hidden. BUT, just Google MY IP ADDRESS and it shows YOUR REAL IP. NOT HIDDEN.
i used this product for 3 years, what an idiot. It worked better then with earlier windows. But it wont work with win7 or 10, on any machine with any browser. They are dying a slow death and do not have developers or tech support.
The last time the support hours were 9 - 3 pacific time. How is that for an internet presents?
This product will turn your machine into a veg. You will at the least need to uninstall it and at worst system restore. When you do get the support chat online it is insulting.
Open you wallet and throw your money in the trash, same value without the frustration and time!
I've used HMIP on our Computers for about a year now, mostly to post on politically-oriented sites, where it pays to be cautious around the psychopaths who can occasionally show-up there.
Does the job, hasn't messed-up our computers alt all, ever, no problems.
It just works mostly.
When I bought it, I didn't realize that I couldn't select an IP server from any location I chose, that you're limited unless you buy the premium add-on, which I was not aware of during purchase. I could have sworn the ad said I could "select from any".
Some sour grapes when I figured that out, though I do realize it costs money to maintain servers, rotate IP's etc.
Sometimes the server I've chosen is painfully slow, so I must go through the reconnect process to find a better one, which usually only takes one try.
I sometimes wonder if these Apps are created and sold by the NSA, FBI, KGB etc, but then I don't see any which offer third party auditing. I suppose then you'd have to trust the auditor.
With the attempt by the Trump administration to strip protections of our personal data and browsing patterns, we need good tools like HMIP to help us remain free of government and other criminal interference and meddling.
It's doesn't work, slow, very slow like you're using a 1995 dialup connection. They also make you click on terms and hidden in the terms it says they will charge you every year. Their customer service is very rude when you are trying to remove the recurring payment.

I found this an excellent tool. Lots of servers to choose from and lots of useful additional security features such as ability to hide or change the user agent and hide referrer headers etc. Response from the support team was very quick and the price is great too. Would definitely recommend.
Totally messed up my machine. This software will not open the interface 90% of the time and will gladly load multiple copies that you cannot 'see' except in task manager. Messed up every browser on my machine, another VPN, and the RDP. Support is laughable; truly helpless. NOT recommended! It may work sometimes. Not worth the hassle the rest of the time.
I had a similar experience as Feoper and give up with this.I have tried another couple of programs since ( HMA & SMARTHIDE), both expensive for me.The best for value and decent performance for me has been IPMasquerade, which costs under £20 as a single payment.Best part is you can scan for IPs that match a particular site and it matches you up with the best ones based on response time, reliability , country etc.Happy with my ipmasquerade! I came across Hide My IP last week. I had gotten hotspot shield a little over a month ago. It worked for a short time and then stopped working. It wouldn't connect. I ended up having alot of problems and I had to do a system restore. I contacted their tech support and the things they told me to try I did, and still had trouble. They never emailed me back after that. I decided to try a different software. I used the Hide My IP for a trial and it worked perfect. I didn't have to change settings or anything. I now have that software and couldn't be more pleased.
This program totally messed my PC up. It slowed my internet speed to half, increased latency, and I could not access several online websites such as Netflix and Ebay.
