If there’s one thing Netflix has made us accustomed to, especially with its purely colossal U.S. version, it’s having a fresh library of crazy and funny shows readily available for binge watching. This will remain the case, as Netflix’s next hot show hits shelves early February: Santa Clarita Diet, a horror-comedy series that promises to scare the living out of the titular small Californian town. Although this new show was released worldwide, there are still some countries where Netflix doesn’t exist or its service is completely blocked. However, nowadays nothing is truly forbidden, as having a VPN along with a few other tricks up your sleeves can grant those left out to join the fun and watch the most exclusive series as soon as they premiere.
The name of the show suggests a program that is a cheap knockoff of the reality show The Biggest Looser which, most shockingly, was also filmed in Santa Clarita. However, the resemblances stop here, because Santa Clarita Diet is actually a horror-comedy web television series. Created by Victor Fresco, the show is about the seemingly normal and healthy Hammond family, Sheila and Joel, played by Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant respectively. Even though both of them are pretty occupied with everyday problems and their jobs are real estate agents, with Sheila wishing to be more impulsive while Joel would like to be more confrontational, things go super strange when Sheila transforms into a non-decomposing zombie, craving for human flesh. This sudden and freaky twist not only turns the couple’s life upside down, but it also drags along their teenage daughter to a funny and amusing ride, putting their family to the ultimate test. The series consists of 10 episodes, all of which has already been uploaded to Netflix on February 3rd, 2017.
If you have a Netflix subscription, consider yourself extremely lucky, because Santa Clarita Diet is available worldwide without restrictions; so basically you can just tune in your favorite media streaming service and watch this series at will.
However, there are still some ISPs that tend to throttle your internet speed when you’re streaming shows. Thankfully you have VPNs at your service to help you get rid of the throttling problem. Furthermore, if you subscribe to such a service and you live in a place where Netflix is out of question due to geo-restrictions and/or government bans, you can pretend to be from a country where the streaming service is available. Just make sure to choose a provider that flies under the radars of Netflix, connect to a server (preferably in the U.S.), get yourself a subscription and you’re pretty much ready to enjoy any show you wish. And remember that if your VPN is limited, you can always download the show and watch it offline later.
