IronSocket Launches Network 2.0 for Faster Speeds

IronSocket Launches Network 2.0 for Faster Speeds

The first phase of the new IronSocket Network, which replaces the company’s legacy servers, has launched and brings with it a host of benefits and improvements. IronSocket’s Network 2.0 is faster, more secure and gives users much simpler and easier access and signup. The new Network 2.0 brings you much faster speeds, with some locations seeing a speed increase of as much as ten times the current one due to servers upgrading to improved hardware and faster networks. DNS lookups will be much speedier too, with seven new DNS servers spread across the globe. Network 2.0 also puts an end to time-consuming downloading of profiles. Just go to their Network page and instantly find all server profiles as .ovpn files for instant usage.

New encryption levels

The new IronSocket Network 2.0 puts you in control with a choice of three different encryption levels on all servers. Get maximum security and privacy with the recommended Strong option, choose a basic level of security while achieving fast data transfer with the Light option or you can remove all data encryption completely and choose the None option if you need maximum speed. Whichever level you choose, all servers still give you Secure Authentication with 4096-bit keys for safety at all times.

Ironsocket Server Change

Legacy servers shutting down

To get the full benefits of the new Network 2.0, you need to migrate to the new servers. IronSocket has put up a migration guide that will give you all the information you need to make the switch. Legacy servers that have received Network 2.0 replacements will gradually be shut down. If you don’t switch now, it may result in service interruptions so upgrading is a must.

So far IronSocket has set up the new Network 2.0 in 19 different countries at 31 locations, and the provider has plans to get all new servers live within the next 60 days. When this is complete at the end of 2014, all legacy servers will be shut down, so make sure that you are not still using them when this happens. Making the switch might be a bit time consuming and annoying at the least, but the promised speed bumps and extra options should make it all worthwhile for existing IronSocket users. New users can of course immediately start running IronSocket on its latest Network 2.0 and enjoy maximum VPN speeds right from the start.
