This week IPVanish launched a new update for its Windows client software introducing a few usability tweaks bundled with minor bug fixes. The flushing and caching of the DNS when opening and closing the connection has been revised, and the server speed checker and network connectivity option are now updated as well. A new interface for certain configuration screens has to make its Windows client easier to use on top of this.
The bug fixes include a fix for problems with OpenVPN connections where the IP was sometimes being checked twice. The IP notifying will now make a new attempt to connect if it doesn’t immediately get a response from the system, and crashes that occurred when the software was launched without having a network should no longer be happening either.
