Interview with ibVPN

ibVPN, acronym for Invisible Browsing VPN, is a VPN service that lives up to its name and promise since 2003. We invited ibVPN for an interview to learn more about the company and its plans for the future, and the team was so kind to accept our invitation. About your unique, new ibDNS feature; don’t you consider it a disadvantage that the user’s IP isn’t hidden when using this service?

We do not consider it a disadvantage as long as the user wants a solution to just unblock specific websites. Also, the user is informed that ibDNS is not a privacy/security solution, and he can then decide if he can unblock the specified streaming content via the VPN or DNS. The advantage of the DNS feature is that we can guarantee no speed loss thus a better quality for streaming. The VPN will offer encryption thus the connection speed will be dropped.

How many IP’s, servers do you have running?

We provide 54 servers and 674 IP’s (static & dynamic included).

Which user information do you log?

What happens with the information logged from users who used a free trial of your service?

The duration, time, location and date of the VPN connection as well as the bandwidth used during the connection are removed after seven days.

In order to protect their identity online, users must:
