Interview with CatholicMatch’s Robyn Lee

Robyn Lee was so kind to arrange an interview with us, so we could learn more about CatholicMatch. We discussed a range of topics related to the site’s features, its beliefs and a look into the (mobile) future of CatholicMatch.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us what you do at CatholicMatch?

Robyn Lee is a 30-something single gal who manages the editorial content for CathlicMatch.com/blog. She received her undergraduate degree from Christendom College in Philosophy and received her master’s in Dogmatic Theology from Holy Apostles College. She is currently the only single aunt with almost 30 nieces and nephews. Besides her faith and very close family, she loves spinning in the early a.m., drinking upside-down caramel macchiatos and snacking on chocolate all day long.

How many daters are currently active on your site, and how many couples were formed through your site?

We do not release our total member database numbers but we have had thousands of couples get married as a result of meeting through CatholicMatch.com and that is just the ones we know about.

Which features does your mobile site offer to Catholic singles?

Our mobile site offers the most important features needed to keep engaged with CatholicMatch and we continue to add more features every month.

Yes as long as they are seriously considering becoming Catholic or are in the process of converting to Catholicism.

Are you planning on launching apps for iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices?

We are focused on the mobile version of our website. With a service like ours, the mobile version is most important, but we will offer some of the features through an online app in the Android and Apple stores.

Which new features are in the pipeline at CatholicMatch?

For competitive reasons we don’t talk about new features until they are at least in beta but we are very focused on mobile as well as creating content products for singles.

Which online dating tips do you have for Christian daters?

Meeting new people should be fun. When making an online profile, rule number one is to be yourself. Be genuine in the way that you describe yourself and in the way you fill out your profile. Upload pictures of the things that you enjoy doing. Stay active on the site by commenting on the blog posts, posting questions on the forums and sending messages to other users.
