Blacklogic Interview

Blacklogic Interview

Canada-based Blacklogic was founded in 2007. Over the years, Blacklogic has grown its network to over 350 servers spread around the globe that don’t keep any provider logs. The company prides itself on being forthright with its users, and doesn’t hide behind vague company details or obscure contact pages. Instead, Blacklogic even has its phone numbers up on its site for anyone to call and ask for assistance, a rare sight in the VPN provider space. The near future is set to bring us new Blacklogic apps, new products and other new releases. Our curiosity lead us to interview the company’s CEO Fikrat about his company.

Can you introduce yourself and Blacklogic to our readers?

Initially there was “TheBestVPN.com” when we started our VPN company in 2007. Blacklogic was introduced later in October of 2007 and “TheBestVPN.com” was renamed to Blacklogic.

Me personally, I’m a young professional with very strong knowledge in routing, switching, security, enterprise IT infrastructure, and with business mind.

Why did you decide to create a VPN company?

I was a datacenter technician (sitting and waiting for customers calls) years ago with free and unlimited access to hardware and network resources. Most of the time we were not busy in the datacenter and instead of playing Xbox like other mates, I’d decided to setup a VPN server and provide free VPN services to Internet censored countries. Later it was realized that VPN can be monetized and for a small monthly fee people get unrestricted Internet access, and the company got an opportunity to expand and offer more servers in different parts of the world.

What makes your “VPN for Poker” plan the perfect VPN solution for poker players?

We provide residential based IP addresses in Canada for Poker players. What makes our Poker VPN service the best? We don’t lie to our customers like our competitors. They simply provide datacenter-based IP addresses.

What’s the advantage of being located in Canada as a VPN provider?

Canada is one of the greatest countries in the world and Canada encourages IT and technology start-ups. Also, a Canadian based company has easier access to financial and technology resources.
Not so good in Canada: expensive bandwidth and colocation costs compared to the US prices.

Why should people opt for Blacklogic and not a competing VPN company?

Why? Well, we are on the market since 2007 and have no plans to get out of business. Also, we have real phone numbers posted on our website (there are only few companies with real phone numbers). Will you buy a product from a company which is based somewhere in Eastern Europe, with no phone number, no government registration, and the country has very shady reputation? – I wouldn’t.

Do you have plans to release your own Android app and other apps and software clients?

Yes. We are currently working on Android and iOS VPN clients. They will be released very soon.

Will you be adding Asian countries to your VPN locations?

Yes, we’ll be adding additional Asian servers this year.

Which other updates, additions do you have in the pipelines?

We’ll add BlackBerry support and new additional services under different brand names.

Anything else you’d like to share with our readers?

I wanted to highlight the feedbacks online posted by “real” customers. Please don’t be fooled with these “feedbacks”, we have more than ten thousands of happy customers and only few unhappy people who post negative reviews. Our service is recommended by friends and colleagues to each other. Just for your information: people are most likely to share bad experience, but when they get good service – they simply don’t post good feedbacks.

Are you a Blacklogic user? Head over to our Blacklogic reviews page and write about your experiences with this VPN provider in your own user review. Our thanks go to Fikrat for doing this interview with us!
