Unlike other companies who operate their monitoring and eldercare services through a call center that seniors must contact during an emergency, LogicMark products offer the possibility to call 911 or family members directly. This way they not only drastically cut down the time required for help to arrive, but you are also free from the monthly fees other services charge. LogicMark offers two different kinds of products called LogicMark Freedom Alert and LogicMark Guardian Alert. The following comparison introduces their main features and helps you decide which one you prefer more.

Founded in 2006, LogicMark is always focusing on innovation, driving the medical alert world towards a safer and better future. They established their reputation in the industry by incorporating patented two-way voice communication technology directly in the medical alert pendant. LogicMark Guardian Alert utilizes this feature to make sure you always reach professional help. When an emergency occurs, the elderly in need can immediately signal a 911 dispatcher, explain the situation and receive reassurance or advice with only a small, wearable device. The medical pendant is powered by AAA Alkaline batteries that last for a year, because the system goes into standby mode 4 minutes after usage. The pendant is also waterproof and has an extended range of 600 feet, which is enough to cover the customer’s home plus the garden or the yard. The device is compatible with most VoIP lines and touch land-line. You even receive audible confirmations during dialing, shutdown, and system tests.
LogicMark Freedom Alert has a similar premise to Guardian Alert: it uses the same emergency button with the built-in two-way communication and also skips the company’s monitoring centers in favor of directly calling for appropriate help. However, Freedom Alert offers more than just calling 911. It can be programmed to notify additional people like family members, neighbors or caregivers. Up to four personal phone numbers can be added. Freedom Alert’s base unit has three different modes the user can switch between: calling the personal numbers, calling the personal numbers and 911, or just calling 911. LogicMark Freedom Alert is a breeze to set up as it doesn’t require more than a power outlet and an active landline. It shares the same features with Guardian Alert regarding range, battery life and auto standby mode. You should also note that up to four pendants or other accessories can be linked to one base unit.
Both products of LogicMark provide fast and easy to use help for senior citizens with one main difference: while Guardian Alert can only contact 911, Freedom Alert allows additional people to be added to the automated call list. It is also noteworthy that after acquiring the device itself, there is no further monthly fee. Unfortunately it is not possible to order the LogicMark units from the company’s website. You can call or contact them via email for additional information, or purchase the retailed equipment from other online stores. This means there is no fixed price for the products, so it all depends on the sale strategy of the retailer.
