As most of Empower’s basic services are free, it’s just the wealth management products that are subject to promotions. Only private clients get a reduction below the regular 0.89% investment fee, as Empower’s fees decrease to 0.79% for the first $3 million and 0.69% for the next $2 million. Then 0.59% for the following $5 million, until at $10 million, it’s 0.49%. Still, it’s important to note that creating a Personal Cash account with Empower can get you up to five million dollars in FDIC insurance coverage.
