BigChurch has a very user friendly and intuitive website that’s easily usable for people who’ve never used a dating app before. Starting with signing up, which is as easy as answering a few simple questions, they step you through each part of the process.
During the sign up process you will be asked for a photo, your name, gender, the gender you are seeking, what age range partner you would prefer, how religious your partner should be, and, of course, a few questions about yourself, such as height, weight, education, occupation, and race. You also have the option to fill in a bio saying as little or as much about yourself as you want, and do not worry, this can be edited at any time. Later, after your profile is set up, you will have the option of filling in a personality questionnaire and a preferences survey. These help to pair you up with compatible members.
Another great feature that is surprisingly not widely available elsewhere is video introductions. You can either film one direct to the site or upload a video.
Optional email filtering is another great bonus. There are several filtering options including members who do not match your preferences, members who have not opted to have their identity confirmed, members without a photo, members without a video introduction, members without a personality profile, or those with only partially completed profiles.
Searching for other members is at the heart of internet dating apps. BigChurch makes this easy with a search menu full of options, including search for members near me, search who’s online now, search popular members, and search new matches. Standard membership is free and gives you a lot of functionality. To start with, you can create a fully searchable profile including a personality test, preferences survey, and video. Not only can other members search and write emails to you, but you can respond back without having to pay for a membership. Unfortunately, however, free membership does not let you send out initial emails, and also imposes restrictions on member searches by not enabling you to filter out members by race, body type, or photo. You can, however, still participate in the plethora of groups available, as well as create blogs.
Although this is a Christian dating app, non-Christians are welcome. As a preference, you can even request the degree to which potential partners should be religious, or non-religious as the case may be. There are three pricing plans available: Standard, Silver and Gold. Standard is free, and enables you to respond to emails, but does not allow you to send out emails or flirts. You even get 30 days of email storage with this plan. Silver and Gold both enable members to send out and receive flirts, emails, voice messages, and messages with smiles. Silver membership gives you up to 60 days of email storage, and Gold 90 days. In addition, Gold, and Silver members can filter search functions to only include members with photos. In all three cases you can post blogs and join groups.
