From senior care to dating tips, Reddit has a community for everything. Of course, it also has a dedicated subreddit that compiles the best reviews (and we know all about best reviews) found on the world’s biggest ecommerce website – Amazon. Whether it’s a waterproof mattress protector that works against all kinds of fluids or a printer that is better suited for a very different use, Redditors have come across many hilarious reviews on Amazon. Here we picked out some of our favorite ones:
Reviews are a great way to understand if a product works as expected. But it’s far more entertaining to read a review that comes with a personal story attached to it. Still, sometimes people do overshare a bit. A good example of that is a mattress protector review in which the customer gets into their sister’s love life. In this case, how her ex-boyfriend drunkenly wets the bed. At least the mattress protector’s waterproof material works!
Then there is this hilarious TV review. From the title “Wife’s Boyfriend Loves It” you know that this review is going to be pure gold. The customer doesn’t go into much detail about the reviewer’s marital issues – simply leaving it as “a long story” – but it’s guaranteed that the TV is top quality. Speaking of marital problems, if you need a wood filler, this is the one to get. If it was able to cover up knife stab gouges in a white pantry door, it will certainly cover any marks you might have.
Sometimes products are great because they do exactly what they’re supposed to. Other times, they’re excellent because they come with surprising features, which create even better reviews. That’s the case for this iron review. You would imagine that the five-star review would mention how well the iron works. Instead, the customer decided to focus on how the product is so sturdy it broke their toe – ouch!
Although these reviews are not for the faint of heart, they can be hilarious. What’s better than reading the graphic review of a 40-year-old man who tried a pedicure rasp for the first time? It’s true that he had foot pain for several days and had to spend a small fortune on Vaseline, but at least his feet are smooth as silk – the reason why he gave the product a glowing five-star review.
Not as gory but still hilariously gross is the review of a dog food brand that caused some unexpected issues for two dogs. While everything was great at the beginning, it didn’t take long for the family to smell how rich the dog food was. It was so bad that the dogs started entering a room just to drop their smelly bombs and run away.
If you love sour candy, then you need to get Barnett Mega Sour Raspberry Fizz Bombs. How strong are they, you ask? Enough to make your tongue bleed.
Sometimes the best way to cope with a terrible product is to leave a funny but horrible review. That’s what this customer did when reviewing his new printer, recommending the product to anyone who needs a bit more excitement in their life. Unfortunately, not for the best reason, as the printer (and its replacement) came with so many software and hardware problems that they’re now being used as flowerpots.
If you read the title “My Dog LOVED This Product!” and nothing more, you would think that we were talking about an excellent dog toy. Sadly, that’s not the case. Right next to the misleading title, there’s a one-star rating, and then you realize the customer is reviewing a body soap. Stories about dogs that love to lick and eat soap aren’t unheard of, but this is a dog that loves to eat its own poop. Long story short, the soap smells so bad that the dog thought it was its favorite treat.
Scrolling through Reddit to find funny stories like these are a great way to spend your time. But Reddit also offers valuable information on various subjects, such as identity theft protection, language learning, and background check software.
