Riley & Grey knows exactly how stressful wedding preparations can be, so they cut right to the chase with the registration. After clicking on “Getting Started” on the main menu, you’ll see to a tab where they ask for your email. By providing it you instantly receive your account and they redirect you to the template setup page. The sites wastes no time when it comes to building wedding websites, although not all people may be overjoyed to have an account forced on them without even knowing that what they do is instantly registering. As for the setup itself, you won’t find it difficult to manage the details. The menus are self-explanatory, and the system even provides some examples that help you grasp the situation. After a brief experiment, you’ll know exactly how to create your dream wedding site.

The service boasts an impressive design library that has something in store for every couple. The templates are bright and colorful, easily evoking a smile on every relative’s or friend’s face. Although the available 41 designs sound awesome at first, in reality there are four to five different patterns and the rest are the same iteration with different colors and backgrounds. The most promising one is called “Signature” , which displays the chosen pages with a unique scrolling effect. The rest of the designs revolve around the idea of a central page with links pointing towards the prominent pages, or just a long narrative list where you can either jump to a specific topic or go through the whole thing vertically. The page modules are the same though, and they won’t change along the designs.

Riley & Grey is very streamlined in terms of pricing. You don’t need to pay upfront just to start editing, and you receive full access to all the available content. However, you only own an account that is temporarily free. The actual payment comes into the picture when you wish to save or submit your finished wedding site. You’ve got two options on your hands. You either commit yourself and have your website run for an undetermined period of time, by paying $35 each month, or decide to save your creation and submit it later.

In the latter case you are only charged for one month of service. Alternatively you are able to book your website’s lifespan for a whole year, which comes for a reduced price that is only $240. Naturally, you can cancel the commitment anytime, although your website disappears with it. Riley & Grey offers no money back guarantee or trial period, but you can earn some free months by recommending the site to others via their referral program.

In all fairness, we were satisfied with what Riley & Grey brings to the table. Their core offer is very strong. The building tool is not only user-friendly, but also allows deep customization possibilities for creative minds. There is a wide variety of designs that feel and look different, and you can personalize them even further with your photos. The pages and topics are rearrangable and expandable with photo and video galleries. Unfortunately there are no outstanding extra features, and the service quite aggressively pulls you in, presenting an account after the slightest interest. Still, the lowest score goes to their pricing strategy. In case you wish to reserve or submit your work, you need to pay at least $35 in advance. Also, the upkeep for the service is another $35 each month, which is a tad bit expensive.
