ABC is one of most well known broadcasting companies in the USA. Running since 1943, the company (and subsequent affiliate bodies) now represents a part of American media and entertainment history. The online streaming side of business is a bit cruel though, even for U.S. residents. There are no live online ABC broadcasts; you can only catch shows on the internet after eight days of its live television airing. The case is such because ABC and all its sub-channels are free to view on the internet (and that they still want people to watch live television). The main problem with ABC is that the name stands for American Broadcasting Company. This means that nobody outside the U.S. has access to ABC content, save a few Canadian examples. Both approach providing access to ABC channels from a different angle, though for streaming in a strict sense the former is more favorable.

However, the former suffers a disadvantage, while the latter comes with a benefit. VPN uses encryptions, and this does make your connections safer, but you lose a lot of speed – something that is vital in streaming. Smart DNS on the other hand does not use encryption, and focuses on preserving the usual quickness of your internet. In our opinion, smart DNS fares a bit better; you don’t have to suffer through long loading times to view a news report for example, not to mention that if you have a less agile connection, you lose out way too much on an already tiptoeing internet with VPN encryption.
